He/Him

Hi everyone. I'm the Sheridan Nurseries IPM crop technician, with a background in forestry, urban forestry and arboriculture. BSc from University of New Brunswick, Urban Forestry Technician and Forestry Technician from Fleming College.

In terms of ID's please correct me since I'm not a dedicated naturalist, just someone who's been in the field a lot. I'm confident with woody plants of Eastern North America and common pests and diseases of those plants, and everything else I'm still learning. My focus lately has been pollinators and agriculturally-beneficial organisms, since I'd like to do more to support them. That, and invasive species - I've become VERY familiar with box tree moth and Japanese beetle. I'm certain I'll be adding spotted lanternfly to that list before long...

I'd really like to build an ecology profile for the farm, but for now I'll just try to get everything identified. As the great prof Tom Erdle once said: "You can't manage what you can't measure"
