Cotoneasters more or less taking over under pines downslope, all sizes, at least 50 visible from wherephotos taken. Also seedling toyons in grass, but they get mowed.
Never seen that shape poop before, not out here anyway. Could it be? A dusky-footed woodrat was suggested by the algorithm

Looks like partial mandible, 3 cheek teeth. Ruling out Sciurids who have 4 lower cheek teeth. Oak bay woodland
