We’re pleased to announce that the Australian Marine & Freshwater Fishing Entanglements iNaturalist project has reached an exciting milestone! We've just welcomed our 50th member to the community and are nearing 300 recorded observations of fishing equipment entanglements across Australia.
This project plays a crucial role in documenting the impact of discarded fishing gear on our precious marine and freshwater ecosystems. Each observation helps us better understand and address the issues of wildlife entanglement, ensuring healthier environments for all.
