Greetings! My name is Rosa and I am the Marine Biologist for the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation, a federally recognized Native American Tribe in Northern California.

I received my undergrad degree from CSU Stanislaus in Central California and my Masters degree in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, so I have both coasts under my belt. Every since I was little, I have been fascinated by the ocean and utterly love exploring tide pools and snorkeling/SCUBA diving when I can.

I'm an elasmobranch girl at heart, I love my sharks and rays, especially mantas - they're my spirit animal! I also love rocky intertidal areas and work on multiple projects for the Tribe involving intertidal monitoring, so I'm well acquainted with critters in those habitats. I'm happy to help with IDs if I can and I welcome your input as well with perplexing critters.

Really looking forward to exploring this site more and making more observations!
Cheers!!
