I go in for fauna and taxonomy of Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies) of Russia (mainly Siberia) and Indochina (chiefly Cambodia). I investigate them in Siberia since 1970s and in Cambodia for the last decade. For the time being I, alone or in co-authorship, have described 15 new species of Odonata, 10 of which from Cambodia.
I am also interested in butterflies and am rather an expert in those of the Asian part of Russia and am more or less able to identify most (but by no means all) their species in Indochina, although my expertise here is much less professional than in Odonata.
Here in Siberia, where I live (Novosibirsk, Academy Town), I am naturally interested in various creatures and more or less know also plants.
My profession is plant genetics, with the pea crop wild relatives (Pisum L.) as the filed of main current interest. I am a head of the Laboratory of Genetics and Evolution of Legumes of the Institute of Cytology & Genetics of Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk. D. Sci.
Here is my cv with a full list of publications (with links), split in two parts, first genetics then natural history:
