I grew up in the Mid Atlantic Blue Ridge always wanting to know more about the world. Much of my professional life has been spent in Latin America, and now West Central Africa. I am a teacher and researcher that never found the mechanics or the aesthetic beauty of nature boring. For me, documenting patterns and processes in the attempt to preserve, not conserve what we work to eliminate has been a continuous challenge.
