Ecologist based in Christchurch.

Am interested in everything ecological, but main interests are native plants, invasive weeds, lichens, and community ecology.

I love the wet, wild West Coast bush, the fascinating dry grasslands and shrublands of the Canterbury plains and intermontane basins, ephemeral wetlands with their suite of tiny specialist plants ('dinkophytes'), and naturally uncommon habitats with weird/rare/obscure endemic species. I also have a soft spot for carabid beetles (my MSc thesis topic).

Also enjoy learning and speaking Te Reo and am keen to learn more about mātauranga Māori in relation to the natural world.
