I've always been interested in the ecology and biodiversity of the past and present. iNat allows me to become more familiar with the immense world of living things around me, and gain an appreciation for what we have and what we've lost.
One of my current passion projects on iNat is the documentation of American Chestnuts, which is why you'll see a lot of them observed by me in Massachusetts. I am experienced in native birds of New England, but am, like everyone, always learning.
