I'm an applied avian ecologist at Cal Poly Humboldt, where I teach courses in ornithology and conservation and management of passerine birds. Most of my work has been focused in central Nevada, western Nevada, and eastern California. I am interested in riparian communities of passerine birds, as well as the sampling methods and modeling tools we use to understand bird occurrence and distribution. I'm also a member of the Nevada Bird Records Committee.
