Spent almost 10 years working for the USDA Forest Service. I like to keep my species id skills sharp. I really like that CAS has put together and continues to manage this database and social platform. This is a great way to keep up with the data on my own observations as well as learn from other 'ologists on species I am unfamiliar with. I'm definitely not an expert and I appreciate the help of other naturalists on IDing!

I resigned my commission with USFS to become a stay-at-homeschooling mom. A chance (or not so chance) phone call from the past to help with the local 4-H Forestry team, made me realize that my career was not over, or on pause.
