I have been a herp enthusiast since I was a kid in Minnesota, but since I moved to Southern California I have become obsessed with herping due to the much larger diversity of species and habitats out here. I have a collection of lizards, snakes and salamanders, some wild caught and some captive born, that my kids and I enjoy observing and taking care of. I also volunteer in the Herpetology Dept at the San Diego Natural History Museum where I take care of the live animal collection and have the opportunity to go out in the field with the Museum helping collect herp and insect specimens for the museum collection and the San Jacinto Centennial Resurvey.
