Thanks for being curious enough to check out my profile. It is a privilege to be outside photographing nature. My main interest is nudibranch taxonomy, followed by cetaceans and all awesome marine life. I work with nudibranch photos for the California Academy of Sciences' Invertebrate Zoology Department, curate Eastern Pacific nudibranchs for iNaturalist, and I'm co-editor of iNat's California Sea Slugs Guide. http://www.inaturalist.org/guides/40
Articles: I have written articles for Bay Nature magazine and Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, and I have a blog on California nudibranchs published by the Morro Bay National Marine Estuary Program. https://www.inaturalist.org/journal/anudibranchmom/26852-my-california-nudibranch-articles
Photos: Honored to have a bunch of my nudibranch photos included in Behrens et al, "Eastern Pacific Nudibranchs and Sea Slugs," 2022. Two of my photos are in "America's Marine Sanctuaries: A Photographic Exploration" Smithsonian Books, 2020. Woo hoo! My best-of nudibranch and other wildlife photos reappear on Flickr, where they are freely available under a Creative Commons license, so they show up in random places on the Internet and occasionally in print.
Above water, I use a Canon 7Dii with 100-400mm lens; underwater, I use my trusty Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS6 or Olympus TG-6.
