I'm an artist, actually a sculptor. I use those skills to observe natural communities while hiking on the trail. When I "empty my bag" at the end of an adventure, I gain a little more knowledge and insight. That plants, animals - the whole natural world - is a community and works creatively to survive with unique strategies that are sometimes cooperatively adaptive just blows my mind.
