Nov. 1, 2018 - Dug up the vegetation layer.

October 19, 2018 - Today was a quick visit to our courtyard Biocube site to test out various macro lenses. These images were taken with a simple clip on macro lens and an iPhone. It was a partly cloudy day, about 49 degrees, no precipitation. We observed a European Tube Wasp, some type of aster blooms, several scouring rushes, and a tiny New York Fern.

This biocube is located within our Smith Environmental Courtyard. This space is open to the public year-round and features a landscaped walkway with native plants and some animal ambassador enclosures.

For this cube, we are monitoring change over time in a public space. The cube is placed within one of the landscaped beds in the courtyard. This cube is monitored on a monthly basis, check back every month to see what we're finding at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
