Recorded from Merlin and identified as Green Heron
mixed in with large Snow Goose flock flying over yard; visually smaller thatn Snows's and verified via photos that the smaller neck-less birds with not much of a rise (crown) to the head are good for Ross's. Easiest to see in comparison via photos uploaded for Snow's on separate observation (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/192099957). 2 small crops of those photos included for this species to zero in on a few of the birds (Snows also included in photos here for comparison). First photo shows 3 Ross's; 2nd photo has 1 Ross's.
Large flyover flock first heard by Maggie; maybe ~150 birds or so but inspection of flock and photos shows perhaps as many as 6 (or more) Ross's Geese so reducing count a bit. 3 photos here, 2 of which certainly show Ross's mixed in.
