I looked back on my 150+ Amyna observations and only one, prior to this one, had obvious "windows" in the forewings. I've seen these on Paradoxican Grass Moths before. I wonder if they are sound generating structures, like some moths use to deter predators like bats.
This one had me fooled in the field. I thought this was just a Garden Webworm Moth, but the banding and spots are slightly different. If we could see the hindwings, it would be very obvious.
