Females. Males look very different - see https://inaturalist.nz/observations/231785552
Please help ! This single individual fits the description of both male and female for the most likely species identified by this app : I quote “Adult females are brown with a large white patch on each forewing, and a blue sheen near the hinges. The hindwings have a black eyespot at the tornus. Adult males are blue”
My obs: Single individual spotted amongst grass- blue centre with white spot outside wings and two small orange distinct markers on bottom of wing. Blue and white inside. Very cute and friendly. Not seen one of these before in Sydney.
