Posted with permission from TAMUIC. Label not very good, so wide range of where it was collected.
Posted with permission from TAMUIC. Obvious depressions on flagellum 3-10. No exact location given and Teanaway River is quite long, so I just put Kittitas County as the location.
Specimen from INHS insect collection. Note small/minute punctures of scutum
Specimen from Illinois Natural History Survey. Note long depressions of F3-11 leading to M. glenwoodensis, lustrus, and compositus from which it more closely resembles lustrus. Pitting of the interband zone of T3 is deep and crowded. To me, comparing specimens, the pits seem more uniform.
A very large female and a tiny male (he's in the next observation as himself). These are the first I've found in Tennessee.
Found on rocks on a trail up on Lookout Mountain near Lampshade Weaver webs; wondering if it's one of the endemics.
