For perspective - they were the larger / wider than my adult male fist and without the typical points / claws of coyotes or dogs.

Guessing maybe mountain lion. Tracks found along a creek. No visible claw marks. Roughly 4 inches tall.
Large scat pile. Dense fur throughout each tube.
