Woods NW of CCC Pond, Blue Hills Reservation
Growing in the forest, in full shade, and is apx. 5" in height. This plant lacks chlorophyll, and has scale-like leaves on the flower stalk (peduncle). The stemmed flower is radially symmetrical, with 5 sepals. Each stem bares a single flower. The yellow anthers are prominent, along with the dark rimmed pistol in the center. The plant is very delicate.
