From a pitfall trap. I provisionally identified it to Strigamia, but I'm not as familiar with the western North American geophilomorphs. @cedric_lee does this look plausible? Length ca. 20 mm long, forcipules with denticle at base of tarsungulum. Mandible only with pectinate lamellae. Male with 41 leg pairs, ultimate legs with 5-6 coxal pores close to metasternite. Ultimate pretergite divided.
Very long pale, orangeish centipede under rock, collected, 13-14 cm long.
an absolutely massive back mustard. For comparison I am 6'5. So 12 feet tall easy if not taller.
Riverside County, California, US
Very active flitting in and out of bushes, trees, shrubs, small downed tree limbs. Vireo?
