In Friends of Oakley Creek native plant nursery, Waterview
The Chatham Islands race of Senecio glomeratus. Common at this location on disturbed peaty sand
73 Valley Rd, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024. Same plant as observed by me previously, now with ripe fruit.
Wattle Reserve. Scrub. One plant growing next to a toropapa.
Common on disturbed peat within 4WD track leading along southern end of Lake Kairangarahu. Plants covered in water from previous nights heavy rains.
Occasional amongst Carex pumila and Ficinia nodosa on the sandy shoreline of lake. Associated with Sonchus asper and S. oleraceus.
A very uncommon species on the islands - this is only the third time I have seen it on the islands.
Rather weatherbeaten. Perhaps not one from a recent release but that would be very coincidental.
