Tree #428 planted with my non-profit organization, Colonial Canopy Trees. We planted these at a local township-owned parcel of land. This parcel historically had two homes on it, but it was purchased by the township with FEMA money after the property kept flooding severely. The township is allowing us to reforest this property with native trees and shrubs, and this is the second year of planting. We planted about 50 trees and shrubs here last year, and about 9-10 died from this hot, dry summer.

All species planted are native, and most of the trees like wet feet. This tree was donated by my friend, who germinated it from seed last year! :)
