This ferret popped out of a hole that the prairie dog seemed to be trying to cover up. The two animals seemed to be aware of each other, but they did not interact. Eventually the prairie dog wandered off.

Killed by something. Probably a coyote but possible an eagle as well. Ferruginous, and red-tailed hawk were observed flying in the area. A collection of feathers were gathered together for this photo as well as one of its feet.

The dead one is a mule deer. The living creature is a pine squirrel. Mule deer killed by a mountain lion three autumns ago. Subsequently dismembered by coyotes and bear.
