Came across 7-8 Kites (extended family?) hanging out together at the top of a hill. watched them for 20 minutes or so.

San Marcos Foothills Preserve

There were tons of these fruiting bodies on the wet leaves in the eucalyptus grove, but @wongatrappin found this nice little cluster on the stem of one of the leaves.

Albino. Beautiful specimen.

I found this gecko at my friends house. I know it’s a gecko/ reptile and not an amphibian is because it was not near water, which amphibians nead to survive.

On bark of fallen redwood.

Growing so perfectly on side bank

Juvenile Aneides flavipunctatus with no dark pigments, found with UC Berkeley Herpetology course.

Found underneath loose bark on the main trunk, 20m up in a tree. Others noted that they were found underneath trunk bark at ground level as well.

Not much plankton but it was nice to see one of these. I also saw a small Lampea Ctenophore.

These two weighed almost 5 pounds together.

Just hatched baby garden snails, probably the common introduced species found in most gardens. Found while removing hedge in Drouin.

A yellow garden slug managed to get a flower stuck on his head!
A bunch of other slugs gathered around to laugh at him.
Lithodora diffusa "variety Grace Ward"

A blue slug in woods after the rain.

As far as I know, this is the first record of Anadenulus cockerelli in over 70 years, and the first images of this species ever.
