Beautiful old tree in centre of a small village of Lengqi, on the banks of the Dadu river, in Luding County, Sichuan province.

Scattered saplings and seedlings in area. There must be a large tree around somewhere. This is the only wild population of this species in the Wairau Valley that I know of.
