Not quite asleep yet I think but tired enough that it didn't run
In a recently burned, moderately rich fen with Meesia triquetra, Drepanocladus and Micranthes oregana.
In conifer forest along the Lyons Creek Trail, approx. 0.9 mile east of the trailhead, Eldorado National Forest, El Dorado County, California, elev. approx. 6820 feet. The surrounding forest burned 3 years previously in the August 2021 Caldor Fire.
Blue wildrye produces mostly 4 glumes (2 spikelets) per node and these have a palmate arrangement rather than two pairs of opposing glumes. The leafy stems with broad leaf blades are characteristic of this wildrye.

Foxtail wheatgrass (Agrositanion saxicola, Pseudelymus saxicola), a native perennial bunchgrass in the sagebrush steppe north of Jarbidge Nevada along the Jarbidge River drainage, and just north of the ID/NV border in Twin Falls County, Idaho, represents a hybrid between Elymus elymoides (squirreltail) and Agropyron spicatum (bluebunch wheatgrass). It is mostly like bluebunch in its tall stature, leafy stems (few if any basal leaves), and non-shattering spikes with long inflorescence internodes. The long curved awns coming from both glumes and lemmas are more like those of squirreltail.
I’ve been here 100 times and have never seen an elk here!

ballhead spring parsley, Cymopterus globosus, Nevada, Mineral County, White Mountains, Teels Marsh watershed, elevation 1902 m (6240 ft).
butterballs, Eriogonum ovalifolium var. ovalifolium, Nevada, Mineral County, White Mountains, Teels Marsh watershed, elevation 1986 m (6515 ft).
Populations of var. ovalifolium in this area vary from bright yellow to pale yellow to cream to greenish-white, but do not have the diffuse pinkish coloration typical of var. purpureum.
dapplepod, Astragalus lentiginosus var. fremontii, Nevada, Mineral County, White Mountains, Teels Marsh watershed, elevation 1902 m (6240 ft).
Specimen collected # Morefield 5969.
This facultatively annual variant usually assigned to var. fremontii seems to be characteristic of sandy habitats in this area of west-central Nevada, and may deserve its own name. Besides being short-lived, it tends to be distinguished by lighter-colored pinkish flowers with banners reflexed near 90°, legumes solid green and not mottled, and sometimes more leaflets.
Boechera species, Nevada, Mineral County, White Mountains, Teels Marsh watershed, elevation 1981 m (6500 ft).
Specimen collected # Morefield 5971.
This doesn't seem to fit any named taxa and may be an undescribed species. Several individuals were observed in the local area. The combination of entire basal leaves and dentate cauline leaves is unusual if not unique in the genus.
