Though previously unrecorded on this island, this introduction seems to have clearly occurred. How widespread the species is on the island, I don't know. I only found 2 individuals and only at this site. They were together under the same rock with what appeared to be their eggs.

We get a lot of volunteers from this species ever since it was planted in our vegetable garden. We aren't growing any in our garden currently.
If C. spicata, rather than C. argentea, then this hasn't previously been vouchered in Florida, which surprises me since it grows like a weed and spreads quickly.
This flowering individual was destroyed after photographing to prevent any further spread.
