Andy Better and I found this Torrubiella on a harvestman while hiking at night. It has really cool orange perithecia, and the bright light captured some of the spores in mid flight.

Pseudoscorpion & its babies !
These tiny creatures are really amazing to watch. Other day I posted how these false scorpions carry their eggs, like a bunch of grapes on its back.
Here i got continuation of that , Where Mother pseudoscorpion is carrying its juvenile on dorsum of abdomen & few more are there on its ventral side.
I was not able to capture better than this as pseudoscorpions are restless creatures & they never sit when exposed to sunlight. They always move in search of the dark. These Arachnids have the unique strength of moving both forward & backward.
This makes us very difficult to capture . I am sharing three record photos,to showcase its maternal care.

Near Desert Center, CA
deep in desert talus sheltered in a ravine
closer geographically to slevini but very gracile like andrewsi
Found under a douglas fir log in a shady, coniferous area
Found growing on a mossy outcropping near a waterfall. Spores subrhomboid, pleurocystidia of two types, large and small. Odor of cucumber and radish.
Growing on a well decayed hardwood log. The second photo shows Jordan Jacobs photographing the Psilocybe yungensis while I photograph a Cordyceps and Andy Better photographs a Gloiocephala.
Found growing off buried wood debris in lahar of eruption event which melted the glacier shown in the backgound of Michinmahuida
Pileus 6-11 cm broad, convex, dry, subtomentose to subfibrillose, 7E6, 6-7F7, 8E8,7,6, with appendiculate veil remnants at margin. Flesh white, pale pinkish at first when exposed, soon becoming grayish fuscous. Tubes adnexed, 4A-B3,2 at first, becoming 4B4 with age, staining brown when bruised, with fine pores. Stipe 7-11 cm long, 1.5-2 cm broad at apex, subclavate to broader below and then tapered at base, white and dry with dark brown to black scabers, with interior white, slowly pinkish above and then light grayish to fuscous, light bluish green in base.
Found growing in rocky area in the river! I assume they started fruiting before the river started flowing.
I didn't take photos of the hymenium but it was in a bigger collection of this species, in a place I usually find them on Eucalyptus wood. I uploaded this observation due to the interesting thing it is growing from, an Eucalyptus seed pod.

Hollow stipe.
Fruiting in an ant mound (unfortunatelly I don't know the ant's gender). In it's base, there were "chambers" and passages among the mycelium.
Strong, "fungy" odour. As far as I can remember, it's gills didn't bruise when scratched. Hollow stipe.
Pencil for scale.

I think I saw two individuals the same week.
A night on weed edge of mangroves
My heart was racing when I realized the animal coming over the ridge was a Bobcat. While she must have been aware of me, she showed no concern and walked right in front of me no more than 10 feet away. So cool!
My apologies for the graphic photos, but this is too cool! Found a fresh lion cache on my property very close to my home, and was able to track the drag marks over 100 feet down the side of the dirt road. You can see where it settled and plucked the hair a few feet away, then later dragged it under the tree. Going to put my trail camera tonight to see if the lion comes back tonight. 😁

Hitching a Ride, Is it true they do this to find there mates or go to where the mating is at? 1st class baby
Brightly colored snake looking caterpillar found on a stick in Guanacaste, Costa rica. Writhed like a snake when disturbed and was unbelievably cool! Also felt somewhat snake like (smooth and soft like a caterpillar and a little scaly). About 15cm long with a palpitating spot on the butt. Type of hawk moth?
