Today is the 9th day of #30DaysWild! Annual challenge from the UK Wildlife Trusts.

Another urban walk today around Hackney, this time to Victoria Park. Very few insects today, but saw some Parakeets, damselflies and lots of young waterbirds.

New species I saw today;

• Common European Greenbottle Fly (Lucilia sericata) AKA Sheep-strike Greenbottle Fly
• Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri)
• Eurasian Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla)
• Black Knapweed (Centaurea nigra) AKA Common Knapweed (English)
• Blue-tailed Damselfly (Ischnura elegans)
