The 73-mile Northeast Texas Trail

I saw in a Texas Highways magazine information on the new 73-mile (eventually 130 mile) Northeast Texas Trail, an abandoned railroad line that is being converted into a hiking trail. According to their website, they plan to put nature preserves along it.

Since this is in my area, I plan to start walking the trail this spring and posting observations. Of course, I can't walk all of it at once, so I plan to do one segment at a time. I'm really excited about exploring this new park and can't wait to start!
