I'm an evolutionary biologist with research interests in genomics, anthropology, primatology, and herpetology. I received my PhD in Biological Anthropology from Yale University before moving to Arizona in late 2015 for a position as a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University. In addition to AZ and CT, I've also lived/worked in Ohio (US), Cambridge (UK), and Uganda. In Uganda, I conducted fieldwork studying the behavior and ecology of wild chimpanzees in the Toro-Semliki Wildlife Reserve and Kibale National Park.
While I enjoy natural history in general, I'm primarily interested in observing birds, reptiles, and mammals.
A quick note: I had previously intended to upload my eBird checklists to iNaturalist. However, after exploring the site, I've decided that I want to focus on only submitting observations with photos to iNaturalist. My standard checklists will, therefore, remain on eBird only (where I also have a public profile, if it's of interest).
