I'm currently enjoying myself as a Master's student at the Dr. Jason Gibbs's Bee Lab, Department of Entomology, University of Manitoba, Canada, and working on a Taxonomic revision of 𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮 (𝘏𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴) in western North America (Hymenoptera: Halictidae).

I majored in Applied and Economic Entomology in my B.Sc. (Agric. Tech. and Mgt.) at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

My broad interest is towards most of the fauna and flora, but I have an enormous interest mostly in insects and spiders. As a result of that, I'm documenting these tiny creatures using my macro photography skills. In my undergraduate chapter, I worked with 𝘍𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘴 thrips in Sri Lanka, and afterward, I have been working with wild bees, stingless bees, chrysomelid beetles, and hymenopteran parasitoids of Sri Lanka. Currently, I'm giving more priority to wild bees.
