Good stewardship of this amazing planet is a Bible principle which I endeavor to uphold: "But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee" (Job 12:7). Aldo Leopold, conservationist and father of modern forestry, said, "There are some who can live without wild things and some who cannot." And, finally, Edward Abbey phrased it so well: "May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds."
