I am a marine ecologist at Oregon State University. I study intertidal and nearshore ecosystems, and focus on the effects of disease and climate change on our North American marine critters. I'm the lead of the PRIMED Network and the Marine Wildlife Health iNaturalist Project. My main research projects are the effects of sea star wasting disease (focus on Pisaster ochraceus) on intertidal communities and efforts to rehabilitate sunflower sea stars (Pycnopodia helianthoides)
