Spike Pike

Student at UC Berkeley interested in California ecology and entomology. I work with Lepidoptera but am mostly on iNat to try and ID Clarkia— If you're posting Clarkia, please include photos of the sepals, buds, stems, context etc, as petals alone aren't enough to distinguish species in many cases. Feel free to tag me if I’ve made a mistake or you’re curious about how I identified something (or you need an ID on a Nymphalid caterpillar in the Bay Area).

Occasionally my observations are of insects I've collected and then reared to a more identifiable stage, the location reflects wherever I collected it wild as an egg/larva, even if pictures of the adult are included.
