40+years of chasing insects just to get a closer look at them led me on a journey to macro photography 3 years ago where I fell in love with the jumping spider. I collect gravid females of local species and raise a couple of the young in hopes of getting photo documentation of what each species look like between molts (instars) from young to adult in both sexes. The rest I return to the spot they were collected. Males I photograph and release. I handle them frequently while they are in my care, which gives me insight on the small nuances in attitude and behavior. I'm no professional in any sense, this is just a passion...Macro and Salticidae
