I hold degrees in Biology/Marine Science and Secondary Education/Biology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, and is the PAEE State Coordinator for Project WET. I began my career as a field instructor in coastal marine sciences at the Chincoteague Bay Field Station in Wallops Island, VA. Later I moved westward to teach students from Chicago at the Lorado-Taft Field Campus of Northern Illinois University. I ran The Outdoor Classroom in Pittsburgh’s South Hills for over 10 years, which focused on educating youth about Southwestern PA’s variety of ecosystems and wondrous treasures. I also helped start the Environmental Education Team at Allegheny Land Trust where we focused on the conservation aspect of EE. I'm currently a 4-H Educator with Penn State Extension where I cover Blair and Cambria Counties in PA.

Calming sounds of ocean waves and wind rustling through tree canopies were commonplace throughout my childhood. I carry memories of those sounds with me still as I educates green space visitors who are soaking up the sounds in their own natural surroundings.
