Years of studying in habitat, many hundreds of each of 3 local Lethe species:
Lethe anthedon, Lethe eurydice, and Lethe appalachia ssp. leeuwi.
Raising hundreds ex-ova of each of the 3 species for 15-plus years —
to release most, and to save some as specimens for reference.
