I took the South Carolina Master Naturalist program in 2008 and obtained my Statewide Master Naturalist certification in 2014. I completed the Palmetto ProBirder program in 2012. I am a generalist, but special interests include birds and dragonflies. In November 2016, I participated in a citizen science project with Operation Rubythroat to study ruby-throated hummingbird migration in Costa Rica. Afterwards, I started a project to study observations of these birds in Central America.
