I worked with Bob Faden on the systematics of Commelinaceae (Dayflowers and Spiderworts) as an undergrad at the National Museum of Natural History in D.C. and later on the phylogenetics of the grasses of the tribe Andropogoneae (sorghum, maize, switchgrass etc.) with Toby Kellogg as a grad student in St. Louis. I co-authored a few papers with each. I worked at Indiana University's herbarium as a curatorial assistant for several years, and now I am part of the land stewardship team at Sycamore Land Trust (https://sycamorelandtrust.org)
