I started biirdwatching in Malaysia in 1979 as a Peace Corps volunteer
under the tutelage of a would be ornithologist teaching at the
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Photography of birds engaged
my energy and time as CCDs became easily available in about 1998.
Photography of butterflies started for me on a Fieldguides trip in
Peru around 2004 (?). Nevertheless, I know virtually nothing about
the ID of butterflies, so this citizen science project is most welcome.
