Hello/Hafa adai/ Kia Ora!
My name is Allison Miller and I am a PhD student at the University of Otago, New Zealand. As a postgraduate student, I will utilize genotyping by sequencing (GBS) methods to better understand the taxonomy, viability, and health of New Zealand lamprey (Geotria australis) populations. The New Zealand lamprey is a customary fishery and my research will fill multiple key knowledge gaps while providing insight on ways to restore and enhance lamprey populations around New Zealand.

In my past life (and for my master's thesis at the University of Guam, Island of Guam), I studied the higher-level phylogenetics of sea cucumbers (Echinodermata, Holothuroidea). I am happy to try and help with any sea-cucumber related issues/questions as well.
