Started around June 2021 and still going strong!

Hello, my name is Dominic, interests and hobbies include rockhounding, mycology, biology, geology, paleontology, drawing, fish-keeping, coin collecting, and an assortment of other -ologies and collections. Moved to Oneonta for college but had lived in Westchester previously, so the majority of my older observations are from there. My major is Earth Science with a minor in biology and mathematics. I absolutely love iNat and am always open to talk about anything, my private messages are available if anyone has any questions, concerns, or just want to talk.

Correct me if I'm wrong on any observations
Always happy to learn, open to criticism

I have an Olympus Tough TG-6 that I use mainly for mushrooms, slime molds, insects, arachnids, as well as plants. I often joke that it'll stop working before my fingers do due to weather conditions, a very good camera for the worst of conditions and clumsiest of scientists. I also have a Nikon Coolpix P-900 that I use for any long distance shots needed, typically of birds, animals, and anything else that requires a zoom lens. Most pictures on my page and in my backlog will still have been taken with my old phone (a Samsung Galaxy J7 Star), more recent pictures will likely be either from one of the cameras or my new phone (a Samsung Galaxy A14 5G). Due to a mishap with a stream over the summer the old phone is no longer operational.

Mainly observing mushrooms and insects but won't pass on photographing other kingdoms (especially protozoans).
