I am a mostly self-taught student (currently a part-time student at Montana State University). I am currently doing volunteer work collecting data on orchids for the Montana Natural Heritage Program and the North American Orchid Conservation Center. I discovered the world of orchids sometime around 2015 and have never been the same since. My interest in orchids has grown into a full blown obsession (although all plants interest me greatly). I have spent much of my time looking for (and researching) native orchids (especially those native to Montana). So far I have found nearly ten species of orchid within a few miles of my home. I also maintain a collection of about 50 orchids in my attic and play cello. In addition, I am currently working on teaching myself the arts of botanical illustration and bonsai.
