Today I took pics in my yard and at the Davis, CA train station.

Went on a nice hike in Yolo Bypass and saw a bunch of birds and a few other things.

I would like to note that this "journal" system is pretty painful. It would be much better if there were a better interface for selecting which observations to include (e.g. allow searching). Alos it would be much better if one could have sections within the post to, for example say "here are the hawks I saw" and then another section "here are the ducks" and include separate observations in each section.

Had a flat tire so stayed at the house today. Made some observations in my yard.

Went for two separate outings. Outing 1: In City of Davis. Went to drop off my car to get flat tire fixed and then went for a 45 minute walk to a pond off of second street. Outing 2: Drove to Yolo Bypass and met up with a friend and went for a hike and then on drive home stopped a few times in rural Davis. Since alas iNaturalist does not seem to have any good way of showing which are from which outing, I guess you will have to figure it out.

Drove around the rural areas between Davis and Woodland in the AM and also to the Woodland Water Treatment facility. Got out for a few pics there with my tripod but most other pics from car.

Went to the Davis Wetlands in the AM. Gate was closed, even though it is supposed to be open on Mondays. Called up the Davis City people and they said they would open it up. A person came out with a pickup and then opened the gate. I went in for an hour or so and got some pics. Then in the PM I went on some rural roads around Davis on the way home and also took some pics in my yard.
