Trachyandra/Chlorophytum confussion

If you look at an inflorescence branch in Trachyandra, you will see a series of bracts with in the axil of each only one stalked flower (oldest is at the base of the branch). Chlorophytum mostly has reduced cymes in the axils of bracts on the branches i.e. a series of stalked flowers (at least 3) with age succession from older open flowers to tiny undeveloped buds. It helps if you look at Chlorophytum comosum (spider plant) and it becomes obvious.
