Found under flipped rock captured using hand and transferred to container for photography, released stick bug smell and had curious markings on hind quarters hard to identify possibly juvenile.
On blade of grass next to path. Looks like Predatory Stink bugs
Revisited sandpaper fig sapling to check out Predatory Stink Bug nymphs. Seem to be some larger individuals (2nd instar?) and feeding on one of the figleaf beetle larvae. Plenty more of those so they might hang around
A 2nd observation on these nymphs in the morning but gone by 11.30 (photo 3)
Bright orange abdomen in flight. This obs is of 2 individuals
Back on the Phalerian tree it is now apparent that the first two observations here were of two different individuals at different instar developments because today we find both together on the same leaf. Perhaps they are 4 and 5?
