Stumbled upon this dude while it was busily foraging in the leaf little maybe a meter away from me with its butt towards me. I froze and watched it for at least a minute before it walked down to the path and right in front of my feet, completely unbothered. Eventually it sniffed the air about a foot away from me and then trotted off downhill
So. Frickin. Cool.
Very cool feeding mechanism. Would quickly swim up to the dead crab and grab a bite before the Hermit Crabs could chase it off. Once a mouthhold was procured the Sculpin would aggressively spin itself to rip the crab's flesh loose and then swim away.
Eating a Desert FIretail!!!
One of the coolest things I've ever found
Pretty sure this is a hybrid. See eBird checklist for details https://ebird.org/checklist/S143815312
Would love to hear people's opinions. iNat doesn't currently have this hybrid taxon.

in the absence of a trunk or stone to lean on, a capybara may be an option;
I have observed these two individuals do this twice;

While taking a picture of this Eastern Hognose Snake, observation at https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/79960222, this butterfly landed. Friends?
Being eaten by a golden-mantled ground squirrel! Does anyone have any information on ground squirrels (which I thought were herbivores) eating (or even catching) Dragonflies?
Wyoming Ground Squirrel eaten by Prairie Falcon. Warning: guts on last photo.

Rough Greensnake catching an orbweaver spider. It got close to the web and then stayed there for what felt like 10 minutes (not sure it was waiting to figure out how to catch the spider or because I had disturbed it). After a while, it finally caught the spider and seemed to have no trouble eating it. My first time seeing a wild snake catch its prey!
Is it a fish? Is it a slug? Is it a fishy anemone? I do not have a clue what this is!
It is about 30mm long and there were a few of them in the sand - outgoing tide nearly on the turn. Most were buried and only the "fan fin" was showing.
Resting on the wet sand, when the sand collapsed it arched it's face upwards (2nd and third photos) and seem to spawn capsule from somewhere - there are 2 floating in the 4th pic.
Totally hypnotic, by the time my sister-in-law and I carried on the brother had walked 2kms away from us!
I am not sure of the precise location: there were at least four of these playing at the bow of the boat somewhere between the canary islands and barbados. We arrived in barbados on the 24 or 25.
