Falcon State Park

Flushed two males, or the same one twice.

Bentsen's milkvine. Falfurius milkvine. Matelea radiata. Dos Venadas Ranch. Starr County, Texas.

The flowers smell divine.

First plant probably the same that @milkweedguy found in 2013. Second plant about 50 feet away.

On the way back from the Indian Creek Ranch gathering, I did some blacklighting around the north entrance of San Angelo State Park -- dry, hot, and windy, but lots of bugs still came! :)

Terri Siegenthaler and Carol Todzia found this single specimen last month in Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve.

No Emory’s milkweed was seen flowering, & quite a few had yellowing leaves

This is now classified in the genus Carboniclava. iNat is slow to recognize the change.
